Is there a recall on my Ford vehicle?
In the interest of safety, should it become necessary to issue a recall for certain vehicles, notification will be sent via mail to the registered owner. This notification is based on data from either the relevant Government Vehicle Registration database or our internal records. The letter will request that the necessary safety remedy be completed promptly at an Authorized Ford Dealership.
Select one of the dropdowns below for steps to access recall and Field Service Action details:
Using the Ford Support Site
You have the option to verify the recall status of your vehicle online. Please visit the dedicated page on our website titled: 'Does your Ford vehicle have a recall? Find out now.' Here, you can enter your vehicle's identification number (VIN) to check for any outstanding safety recalls.
Using the FordPass app
- Log in to the FordPass app.
- Tap the Service screen.
- Select the alert tile that appears at the top of the screen.
Notes:
- The Recall option will only appear if there is a recall associated with the vehicle.
- If there are multiple alerts for your vehicle, they are shown in order of priority. Recalls are first, then Customer Satisfaction Program(s) and Field Service Actions, followed by Vehicle Health Alerts.
- If you have more than one vehicle added to FordPass, only the notices specific to the selected vehicle will be displayed.
If you need more assistance, select the Schedule Service option.
- This only appears if you have a Preferred Dealer set.
- Find Dealer appears if you do not have a Preferred Dealer set.
If you experience any issues using the FordPass app, contact a Guide using the Account > Contact Help path options.
