BANGKOK, Thailand, 13 November 2015 – Ford Thailand today announced the extended period for its Go Further Innovator 2015, an inaugural scholarship program in partnership with the Population and Community Development Association (PDA). The program invites university students from the Bangkok Metropolitan area and Eastern Thailand to submit short video clips under the theme of “Go Further – Go Forward for the Development of Thailand” for the opportunity to win 50 scholarships worth a total of THB 650,000. Submissions will be accepted through 5 February 2016.
The program is part of Ford’s commitment to support education for Thai students. This inaugural Go Further 2015 Scholarship will be promoted in partnership with the PDA and provide university students an opportunity to present their creative ideas through three-minute video clips. The submissions must be around Ford’s four core pillars of Quality, Green, Safe and Smart.
Selected winners will receive 50 scholarships worth THB 650,000, including:
- Winner (1 recipient): THB 100,000 scholarship and a certificate
- First Runner-up (2 recipients): THB 50,000 scholarship and a certificate
- Second Runner-up (5 recipients): THB 20,000 scholarship and a certificate
- Popular Vote Award (2 recipients): THB 15,000 scholarship and a certificate
- Recognition Award (40 recipients): THB 8,000 scholarship and a certificate
Additionally, all participants selected as finalists will have the opportunity to join Driving Skills for Life (DSFL), Ford’s flagship CSR program that provides hands-on safe driving training to participants, in March 2016. The first 100 students to submit videos will also win souvenirs from Ford.
Submissions will be accepted through 5 February 2016. Judges will finalize the winners on 25 February 2016 and the announcement of the 50 scholarship winners will be published through www.ford.co.th/about/newsroom and www.pda.or.th, and on Ford’s Thailand Facebook page on 26 February 2016.
