What is headlamp exit delay?

Learn how to easily activate and deactivate the headlamp exit delay function in your Ford vehicle for added convenience and visibility after turning off the ignition.

The headlamp exit delay feature allows your vehicle's headlamps to remain illuminated for a set period after you have switched off the ignition, providing temporary lighting as you exit the vehicle.

Please note that when the headlamp exit delay is active, the headlamps will automatically turn off after three minutes if any door remains open, or 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
