What is the Next Gen Ranger Raptor's exhaust sound mode?
Experience the versatile sound of the Next-Gen Ford Ranger Raptor. Its 3.0L twin-turbo V6 and active valve twin exhaust system offer four distinct modes, from discreet "Quiet" for urban peace to exhilarating "Baja" for off-road adventures.
To change the exhaust sound, simply press the dedicated button on the steering wheel, identifiable by an exhaust pipe icon. The first press displays a pop-up message on the digital instrument cluster indicating the selected mode, while subsequent presses cycle through the available options.
Exhaust Sound Modes:
- Quiet Mode: This is the quietest setting, suitable for all driving conditions, ideal for minimizing noise.
- Normal Mode: The default setting, providing a balanced blend of comfort and acoustic feedback. It is automatically applied in Normal, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Rock Crawl drive modes.
- Sport Mode: Offers a slightly louder and more aggressive tone than Normal mode, designed for spirited driving.
- Baja Mode: The loudest setting, intended for off-road use only, delivering maximum exhaust noise under all driving conditions.
The Next-Generation Ford Ranger Raptor's all-new active exhaust system utilizes two electronically controlled valves to achieve these four unique profiles. The 2.5-inch system also features an X-pipe for enhanced engine exhaust flow and tonal balance.
