How does the Keyless Entry System work?

The Keyless Entry system allows you to lock and unlock your vehicle without needing to physically handle the key fob.

Sensors located around the vehicle detect the presence of the authorized passive key fob. When the key fob is detected within the system's operational range, the vehicle's access and locking functions are enabled.

Provided the authorized key fob is within the detection range, you can unlock the vehicle by simply grasping a front door handle.

Once inside the vehicle, the engine can be started by depressing the brake pedal and pressing the START/POWER button. Physical handling of the key fob is not required for these operations.
